Joining an extracurricular organization gives you opportunities to network, make new friends, be more engaged in the local community, and make a change in the status quo. As a member, you'll meet many new people from all walks of life, and you'll also gain valuable experience in volunteerism as well as in leadership and being a team player, all important skills to be successful in college and later on in life! As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, The Evergreen Initiative awards volunteer hours for your participation in programs, events, and activities. These can count towards awards such as the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, or for other school/club requirements. Thank you for your interest!
Before you begin volunteering, we must receive a clear, legible scan of your forms in one PDF. You can find the form and instructions at this link, or on the attachment below. Please note you must be a registered volunteer to tutor, teach, or sign up for one of our programs as a volunteer.
Teams & Program Managers
Interested in being a part of a team that helps with The Evergreen Initiative's operations? Teams members are given opportunities to contribute to The Evergreen Initiative's operations, improve their leadership skills, all while earning volunteer hours from a legally registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Program Managers are given the opportunity to lead their own community service project/program in The Evergreen Initiative, with support including volunteers, finances, planning, organizing, etc. You can also apply for a position that you create, or a spot on the Executive Team!
We are looking for teachers/tutors for our existing programs, and for volunteers to establish their own courses. You can read more about these opportunities under the "Classes" section of our website. So far, we have one hundred volunteer tutors and teachers help over 225+ students. Join our dedicated team and earn volunteer hours for your hard work today!
The Evergreen Initiative Ambassadors program is a way for committed high schoolers to reach out to other students at their school and make an impact in their community. They'll be given opportunities to organize their own projects and events with organization support and improve their leadership skills, all while earning volunteer hours from a legally registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Outreach is essential for organizations to grow. As The Evergreen Initiative expands its programs (tutoring, teaching, and ambassadors), we needs your help to take it to the next level. We want to expand further across the Bay Area to recruit passionate members and help students that are struggling during the pandemic. Your unique communities are crucial to continue with the organization’s outreach.
